Biography

Dr. Dorian Karatzas is the Head of the European Commission’s Ethics and Research Integrity Sector. A biochemist by training, he set up the first system on ethics review of European research projects. He is actively advocating the ethics procedures and standards embedded in the EU’s Horizon 2020 framework to academic audiences.
